Zika Virus was hectic for every country and the scientist from each corner was busy with developing the vaccine. But now there is good news for all that Indian Scientist from Bharat Biotech lab Hyderabad claim that they had developed the vaccine against the ZIka virus.
But first of all, I would like to make a light on what is Zika virus and how it was harmful to the human being.
What is Zika Virus?
Zika virus is a part of the same family as Yellow Fever. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the infection was transmitted sexually. It linked to neurological disorder resulting in “Small Head” condition.
Till now there was no vaccine to prevent or treat the infection. But now the scientist from Bharat Biotech lab claimed that they had got the solution to get rid of the infection. The most of the Zika cases noticed in the Brazil.
In the pregnant women, virus passes through the Amniotic fluid to growing baby which results to a small head of the newborn baby.

Bharat Biotech Develop the vaccine
Yes, Bharat Biotech, announced that they have achieved a breakthrough in developing a vaccine to fight the dreaded mosquito-borne Zika virus, which causes serious birth defects in children.
We believe we have an early mover advantage in developing the Zikavac and we are probably the first in the world to file for the global patent for Zika vaccine candidates.
We have two candidate vaccines in development. One of them is an inactivated vaccine that has reached the stage of pre-clinical testing in animals,” Ella said.
CMD adds that we consider safety as the overriding factor in the development of the new vaccine for this virus.
Currently, the vaccine maker is focusing towards scale up and characterization of the vaccine product, Ella further said.
